Join our inspiring community for a mindfulness-based workshop every month at Sustainable Valley. Learn mind and body skills and access inner resources that will help you live and lead with greater awareness, confidence, and resilience. Within each workshop, we’ll explore the mind and body connection to help you grow in your ability to engage more fully, act with purpose, and awaken the best in yourself.

 

Approach:

A mind-body approach that is science-backed, practical and engaging.

Our methodology is grounded on the concept of learning by doing and focuses on helping you take courageous actions based on your values. This mind-body approach is science-backed with practices from positive psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT).

 

Delivery style:

You will learn new skills through a variety of methods including:

  • facilitated group discussion and activities
  • practical tools that you can use in the class and ‘take away’ with you
  • self-reflection activities
  • meditation practices
  • visualisation practices

  • Audio links to key mindfulness exercises introduced in the workshop

 

Facilitated by:

Erin Tetarenko (MSc Psychology of Coaching) works as a professional Self-Leadership Coach facilitating personal transformation through self-exploration, mindfulness, and holistic wellbeing. Her experience extends to working with international facilitation teams on globally recognised personal growth, leadership and wellbeing programs. Integrating mind and body, she has created a coaching approach that empowers people to strengthen their connection with self while contributing to their communities in a meaningful way.

 

Workshop details:

Wednesday  6pm – 8pm, 5th June — Translating Body Talk

An exploration of the language of the body and it’s constant communication with us, designed to help you change the way you relate to uncomfortable emotions and sensations. Learn mind-body skills to help you tune into your body, and truly listen, so you can receive the information available to you about what you need in any given moment. This is a safe and supportive space to talk about the feelings and sensations we don’t always get to talk about.

“In any given moment, your inner state is sharing with you – private, valuable information that influences your behaviours.”

  • cultivate a willingness to feel unpleasant emotions and sensations in order to do something of value, ie. letting go of the struggle.
  • Learn how to be present with your feelings and see them clearly instead of pushing them away
  • Body knows things before the mind does (refer to study p.26)
  • Power in the sharing….
